Rain Didn’t Stop Me – Here’s How I Started My Day
I woke up at like 3 or 4 a.m. today, which is wild because that's the earliest I’ve woken up in a minute. No snooze, no second thoughts—I just jumped up outta bed. Got straight to it. No wasting time. Made my bed, brushed my teeth, washed my face, put vitamin E oil on like I’m supposed to, and threw on some clothes. By the time I was ready, I grabbed my phone, plugged in my headphones, and stepped outside for some cardio. It was raining, but it wasn’t about to stop me.
Started off with jump rope, just to get my body out of breath. After that, I went for a quick jog around the block a couple of times. The rain didn’t matter; I was locked in. Got back inside, made myself some dandelion tea with honey, and chilled out for a bit. Just let my mind relax, got that mental clarity I needed. Had some Celtic salt with it, too, to get that mineral balance right.
Then I dove into some breathwork. If you’ve never done this, let me tell you—it’s a game-changer. I followed a routine that’s got me feeling like the hulk but under control and focused.
The breathwork I did is called Power Surge Breathwork—and trust me, this is the kind of routine that’ll get you feeling like a whole different level of yourself before you even start your day.
Power Surge Breathwork
Time: 5-7 minutes
When to use: Before a workout, a meeting, a big shoot, or whenever you need that fire in your chest.
Here’s how I ran it:
The Setup
I sat down, chest open, hands on my thighs, and closed my eyes. Just letting myself get in the zone.Box Breathing Warm-Up (2 minutes)
Inhale for 4 seconds, hold for 4 seconds, exhale for 4 seconds, hold for 4 seconds. I did this for 4 rounds. It felt like my nervous system was getting back to baseline, like a reset button was hit. I was ready to flow. I played 432 Hz beats in the background, letting the calming energy set the tone.Power Breaths (Kapalabhati Inspired) (2 minutes)
This part? It’s rapid-fire breathing. Inhale through your nose, exhale with power through your nose, like you’re pushing air out from your core. 30 short exhales, rest for 15 seconds, then do it again for 3 rounds. This fires you up in a way you can’t even describe. I had 963 Hz beats playing in the background, and that Gamma frequency hit different—pure energy.Activation Breath Hold (2 minutes)
Inhale deeply, hold for 20-30 seconds, tighten up your fists, flex your core, and picture yourself about to crush whatever’s ahead. Slowly exhale. I did that twice. If you do this right, you literally feel like a whole different person after. I played 963 Hz beats again, keeping that energy high and charged.Focus Lock-In (1 minute)
I breathed slow through my nose and exhaled even slower. Five deep breaths. On each exhale, I said to myself: “I’m focused. I’m unstoppable. I’m built for this.” Every word hit differently, and that last exhale? It felt like I locked in. For this part, I switched to 528 Hz beats or Alpha waves. It was like my mind locked into the vibe, clear and sharp.
This breathwork routine stacks energy, focus, and clarity. You do this consistently, and it’ll become your go-to tool when you need to step into beast mode, like immediately.
Once I finished with the breathwork, I felt like I could literally take on the world. I felt focused, powerful, like there was no challenge I couldn’t take on. It's a feeling of complete empowerment—like nothing is going to stand in my way.
I whipped up a matcha latte to keep the vibe going, then I also made some raspberry leaf tea with hibiscus, added some electrolytes, and threw in trace mineral drops to keep my body fueled and hydrated. This combo? Nature’s version of a sports drink, no sugar, just clean energy.
Now I’m up here ready to get to work. This morning set the tone. Everything I’ve been doing lately has been in alignment with my purpose—helping people heal, spread gratitude, and open their eyes to the real game of life. I feel like I was put here for this.
So if you’re looking to start your day with energy, focus, and a mindset that screams, “I’m about to kill it,” give this Power Surge Breathwork a try. You won’t regret it. Trust me.
